The world of AI is shifting—rapidly. I just started a full-time role to support us as a family full-time. The semi-daily routine is 04:00: wake up, shower, dress, work on Verbu until 06:xx, and the kids get out of bed. Breakfast, commute, and real work until late afternoon. A few days of workout, otherwise: home, kids, dinner, time with Julie, and some days, work into the evening. Tomorrow, the schedule repeats at 04:00.
Weekends are usually 12 hours of work, either on one day or split across Saturday & Sunday.
The biggest constraint right now is time. Be a good father and husband, and build things. Thankfully, I have an incredible super wife who supports and pushes me to do better—every single day.
AI is helping with the time requirements. Things are accelerating rapidly—so much so that I cannot help wonder whether there's this golden window now of a few years, and then software will be a commodity. Should one put all eggs into the same basket and go full pedal to the metal? Or should one proceed striking a balance between earning a fair salary and building? Right now, the choice is the latter, but the voice lingers in the back of my mind. What if it's now or never?
Either way, it's incredibly exciting times!
