Bootstrapping meets strapping in. Because there literally is no money until you make some. As a family, we burned through 100s of 1000s the last few years, and we can't keep going. Does this mean Verbu and the other projects are put on the shelf? Fuck no! We are doubling down and going harder than ever, and I'm taking on a full time job. We're betting on verbu.com - and the rest is on the back burner. Time is the most precious resource, so what will happen come March 1st is;
- I'll start a full-time job as Senior Engineering Manager, again. It's an awesome role focused on everything I truly enjoy; helping people grow!
- Verbu development and releasing will continue, and I'll have to get up early and to bed later. Quitting is not an option, so going slower or working harder is the only options. And slowing isn't really happening either; come on. Harder and more focused it is. Outside my 40-hour work week, of course.
- I've signed my wife up as co-founder. She's a genius in many ways and good at what I'm not. She's educated in Linguistics & Communication, and in many ways, everything I need. So response time will be faster than ever, and we'll team work this thing. Like everything else we do.
So here's to an exciting 2025. Work is happening. Verbu is happening. Wifey is on board. I couldn't be more stocked. And we are down for an infinite runway and an ever-growing waitlist for verbu.com!
LFG! 🚀
PS: I need to figure out how to build a SoMe game around this because a lot of folks out there consider the plan insane and impossible. I'd like to prove the world wrong. If you have ideas, hit me up!
